Radio programming with big synergy potential

Secondary use of live radio content. Is it possible? Yes, it is – with Audiobase, developed from ethinking in collaboration with Digital Media Hub for RTL Radio Deutschland.

Audiobase is a central audio database for various use cases. It allows radio stations to automatically digitize their spoken contributions and store them centrally with metadata. For this purpose, there is a direct connection to the radio station’s broadcast system DABiS. This way, content can be reused for additional channels and an automated filling of webstreams with spoken content can be set up.

The foundation is a platform using the CMS CUE, which is connected to the broadcast system DABiS in order to get automatically any audio content needed such as music, but also entire program segments, audio beds, spoken contributions, and many other components of the daily radio program for creating further radio streams.
